Born and raised in the DMV, Arkayde The Sage got her start experimenting with her grandmothers piano and organ around age three. From there she would explore the multitude of strange instruments hidden away in her grandparents house.
Listening to D.C. Go-Go bands in her child hood such as Rare Essence, Chuck Brown, and later CCB would form her love for bouncy percussion. However 90s hip-hop along with 80s rnb and the funk music of the 70s would further shape her sound.
In 10th grade Arkayde The Sage was introduced to what was then known as Fruity Loops. For two years she would go on to make beats, occasionally posting them to the then popular Myspace. But after high school she quit to focus on her academic studies in Information Technology.
After almost a decade long musical hiatus, Arkayde The Sage again picked up the hobby of beatmaking, this time using an iPad and GarageBand.
After a year of working on her craft and navigating the online music producer community, Arkayde returned to Fruity Loops, now known as FL Studio, and began working with a variety of indie artists both within the nerdcore and traditional hip-hop scenes.
Now looking to utilize the full multitude of her talents, Arkayde The Sage formed 6311 Entertainment LLC, which specializes in Music Production, Web Development, Social Media Marketing, and Digital Entrepreneurship.
As of 2020, Arkayde The Sage has been in partnership with numerous content creators. Most notably her husband BlackerKong, twitch streamer and competitive Soul Calibur VI player.
Together they work to build a brand that spans music, technology and entertainment.
